Starfinder Waystone Compass (Worn)Source Scoured Stars Adventure Path pg. 250 Level 8; Price 8,000; Bulk LDescriptionSenior Starfinder field agents often receive a special memento from a venture-captain or member of the Society’s Forum. Sometimes, even the First Seeker steps in to personally grant a group of agents a boon in the form of the vaunted Starfinder waystone compass. The first of these compasses were discovered in the aftermath of the Gap, where it was thought they might have some connection to the lost Pathfinder Society Modern iterations of these objects are expertly crafted versions of the common magical starstone compasses employed by explorers across the Pact Worlds. In this case, the compass is improved to include additional protective magics as well as the ability to record pertinent data should some unfortunate event befall the Starfinder in question. Finally, starmetal weaves are used to craft the shell of the compass, which prevents it from being destroyed in the event of a catastrophic mission. It is considered one of the highest honors for a Starfinder field agent to receive one of these specially commissioned items. This ornate clockwork compass is an improved-upon model of a starstone compass that is assigned to expert Starfinder field agents. It grants a +2 insight bonus to Piloting checks when astrogating anywhere in the galaxy (but not extraplanar locations). As long as the device is on your person (it can be used like a pin or attached to armor), at any point when you have the dying condition, you can call upon the power inside the Starfinder waystone compass to stabilize you without spending Resolve Points, and you can spend 1 Resolve Point to stay in the fight during the same round. You cannot use the stabilization effect for another 24 hours after you use it. In addition, you can record up to 12 hours of audio and video into the compass, which can only be accessed by creatures who have a Society Subdermal Graft augmentation. The compass is incredibly durable, intended to survive the death of an agent, and has a hardness of 40 with 20 Hit Points.
