Source Starfinder #51: Into the Dataverse pg. 50 Classes Technomancer 5, Witchwarper 5 School illusion Casting Time 1 standard action Range see text Effect see text Duration see text Saving Throw Will disbelief (if interacted with); varies; see text; Spell Resistance yes; see textDescriptionThis spell creates a digital representation of an extraplanar creature, object, or magical effect. Render can mimic any conjuration (creation) or conjuration (summoning) spell of 4th level or lower. These digital representations are made up of hardlight and code and are only one-fourth (25%) as strong as the real things, though creatures that believe the rendered representations are real are affected by them at full strength. Any creature that interacts with the effect of the spell can attempt a Will saving throw to recognize its true nature. A creature that succeeds at its save sees the rendered effect as translucent digital representations with a small amount of pixelation around the image’s edges. Spells that deal damage have normal effects unless the affected creature succeeds at a Will save. Each disbelieving creature takes only one-fourth (25%) damage from the representation’s attack. If the disbelieved attack has a special effect other than damage, it’s only 25% likely to occur. Regardless of the result of the save to disbelieve, an affected creature is also allowed any save that the spell being simulated allows, but the save DC is set according to render’s level (5th) rather than the spell’s normal level. In addition, any effect created by render allows spell resistance, even if the spell it’s simulating doesn’t. Rendered objects or substances have normal effects except against those that disbelieve them. Against disbelievers, they’re 25% likely to work. A rendered hardlight creature has one-fourth the Hit Points of a normal creature of its kind (regardless of whether it’s recognized as a digital representation). It deals normal damage and has all normal abilities and weaknesses. Against a creature that recognizes it as a digital representation, however, the rendered creature’s damage is one-fourth (25%) of the normal damage, and all special abilities that don’t deal lethal damage are only 25% likely to work as normal. (Roll for each use and affected character separately.)
