Acid Reservoir MODEL | LEVEL | PRICE | DAMAGE | Caustic | 5 | 2,950 | 3d8 A | Vitriolic | 12 | 12,750 | 9d8 A | Disintegrating | 19 | 495,000 | 18d8 A | Many Swarm creatures naturally synthesize acid as a weapon, and you’ve installed one of these acid-producing sacs in your body. This augmentation is normally installed along a forearm, but might be installed in your throat, producing an effect akin to a breath weapon. You can trigger this biotech modification as a standard action to expel a gout of slippery acid in a 30-foot cone. The damage varies based on the model of acid reservoir, which determines the acid concentration and viscosity. Targets in the area can attempt a Reflex save (DC = 10 + half your level + your Constitution modifier) to take only half damage. The area you affected remains slick for 1 round, and then the acid evaporates. A creature can walk within or through this area at half its normal speed with a successful Acrobatics check to balance (with the same DC as the Reflex save); failure means the creature stops moving and can’t move further that round, and if the creature fails by 5 or more, it falls prone. A creature that doesn’t move on its turn doesn’t need to attempt the check. A creature that ends its turn within the area takes acid damage equal to the modification’s item level. You aren’t harmed by the acid from your own acid reservoir, but you can slip on it normally. Once you’ve used your acid reservoir, you can’t use it again until you’ve rested for 10 minutes to regain Stamina Points, though you can spend 1 Resolve Point at any time to recharge it immediately.
