A hinkhetxi that hits a creature with its gastric touch attack deals 4d6+6 acid damage and heals their own Hit Points by half this amount. This external digestive track leaves hinkhetxis highly susceptible to toxins; they have a –2 penalty to all saves vs. poisons. Tactile Chemoreceptors (Ex) Hinkhetxi have chemoreceptors for taste and smell scattered throughout their entire body, granting them a +2 racial bonus to Perception checks involving taste and smell.DescriptionHinkhetxis are a telepathic species native to the rogue planet No Stars, located somewhere in the Vast. These amphibious humanoids have a tactile digestive systems that allows them to absorb nutrients through their skin, and as such they don’t need to hunt for food. According to hinkhetxi culture, the universe was populated with prey and dangerous creatures solely for their own coldblooded amusement, and much of their culture is based around hunting for sport or validation. When they make expeditions to far-off worlds to hunt, they believe they are taking only what is due them. They consider the hinkhetxi body to be sacred and never hunt their own.
Hinkhetxis with high body counts or unique trophies rise in status, while those unable to be hunters craft or maintain equipment, spread word of the deeds of great hunters, and scout the galaxy for new hunting grounds.
